OUR COMPANY
AL ASSAD has always been a family-run business currently led by Dr. Buthaina Alamin, the wife of the former general manager, Dr. Firas Hilmi (F.R.C.S.I.).
The business was initially run by a Dr Firas Hilmi and Dr Buthaina Alammin with their daughter and two sons, with the husband being a qualified surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the wife and daughter being qualified pharmacists, and the first son being a dentist, and the other is an IT Manager and Software Engineer.
The staff at AL ASSAD is dedicated and enthusiastic, treating the company as part of their family, which fosters a strong sense of unity and commitment to excellence.
OUR FAMILY
Dr. Buthaina Al Ammin, Chief Executive Officer, is a qualified pharmacist with over 15 years of pharmacy ownership experience in Baghdad. She has held senior management positions at Al-Yarmouk Hospital, served as its first clinical pharmacist, and worked as a teaching assistant at the medical school.
The management team also includes:
- A pharmacist specializing in supply chain management, vendor relations, contracts, logistics, and shipment coordination.
- A dentist leading the dental division, overseeing supply chain operations and sales.
- A software engineer with over 10 years of experience in web development, design, and cybersecurity, holding a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of South Wales, UK.
